Questions, answered
- Is it really free right now?
- Yes. While we're in beta, every plan and every feature is unlocked at no cost — no credit card, no trial timer. We'd rather you fall in love with the product than with a discount.
- What happens when beta ends?
- We'll give you plenty of notice — no surprise charges. When paid plans switch on, the prices below are what you'll pay, and the Free plan stays genuinely free. Early users get grandfathered perks for sticking with us.
- Do I need a credit card to start?
- No. You create an account, verify your email with a code, and start invoicing. We only ask for payment details if and when you choose a paid plan after beta.
- What counts as an invoice toward my limit?
- Each invoice you create and send counts once. Drafts don't count, and resending or downloading an existing invoice is free. Quotes are separate and don't touch your invoice limit.
- How do payments and fees work?
- Clients pay you directly through Paystack or Stripe on paid plans. Those providers charge their standard processing fee — Clerqpay doesn't add a markup on top of what you collect.
- Can I change or cancel my plan later?
- Anytime, both ways. Upgrade the moment you need more, downgrade when things are quiet, or cancel in two clicks. Changes take effect immediately and we prorate fairly.
